“The Hunger Games Mockingjay Pt 2” on top of box office

It’s the holiday season and the theater will soon see such films as: “Krampus” which is a horror flick and perfect for Christmas time. “Christmas Eve” starring Jon Heder and Patrick Stewart, “MI-5” which has no Tom Cruise at all and the documentary “Hitchcock/Truffaut.” This last film is a documentary: Synopsis

In 1962, Hitchcock and Truffaut locked themselves away in Hollywood for a week to excavate the secrets behind the mise-en-scène in cinema. Based on the original recordings of this meeting—used to produce the mythical book Hitchcock/Truffaut—this film illustrates the greatest cinema lesson of all time and plummets us into the world of the creator of Psycho, The Birds, and Vertigo. (Movie Insider).

As far as this weekend goes “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay 2” has grabbed the audience to end the series that has been so popular. It’s not “Harry Potter,”  but it’s good.

Coming in second is Disney’s adorable “The Good Dinosaur.” Disney has a few other animated films coming out that will give the studio another chance to be on top.

Round up of the week’s best films (money wise anyway):

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay 2

The Good Dinosaur

Creed

Spectre

The Peanuts Movie

Secrets in their Eyes (Julia AND Nicole and this is the best they could do)?

Spotlight

Brooklyn (Hello Oscar)?

The Martian

That’s the weekends Box office, read it here every Sunday.

Always interested in a good indie film, my taste run towards Horror and documentaries. Rom-coms are my least favorite genre, but I will always take a look for the better good of the site. I’ve reviewed films for seven years and want to do it for about 20 more…we will see.
