Prince Rogers Nelson has passed away at age 57.

It’s hard to believe, but the world has lost yet another huge talent as Prince has died today at his home in Minneapolis.

On the 15th of this month Prince’s plane had made an emergency landing and it was reported that Prince wasn’t feeling well. He also cancelled some concerts during the same time. The problem was reported to be flu like symptoms.

Now comes the awful news that Prince has passed away.

Prince’s recording studio “Paisley Park” is also in Minneapolis. Fans are gathering there mourning their idol.

Prince was in the music business for 30 years and was considered one of the top 3 pop music stars in the world. His music was the soundtrack of a generation. You don’t have to be 30 something to have loved Prince. ‘His Purpleness’ was appealing to all ages.

Prince played huge stadiums and they were always filled to capacity.

Owen Husney took on the young man who was Prince knowing he would be a big musical star, Prince was only  18.

On a personal note. As many of you know, I was a photographer who did mostly celebrities in Hollywood. A club called “China Club” opened with a week long star studded celebration. Near the end of the week I was standing near the back door, known as the stage door, and I was asked to please not take a photo of the person who had just pulled up in a Limo. As the club had given me many nice heads up about who was in coming, I backed off to a farther door. I wanted to see who it was so I put my camera down and out stepped Prince. He was of small stature with a killer smile.

Sadly, Prince was writing an autobiography which  only had 50 pages done, so we will probably never get to read his words about himself.

We don’t know cause of death, but does it really matter? He’s gone and the world has lost yet another much loved performer. RIP dear Prince, your work is amazing and generations to come will love it as much as mine did.

Always interested in a good indie film, my taste run towards Horror and documentaries. Rom-coms are my least favorite genre, but I will always take a look for the better good of the site. I've reviewed films for seven years and want to do it for about 20 more...we will see.
